Enables faster
wound dressing
The Wimba Wound Care line supports clinicians in wound management by simplifying dressing application and, thanks to its properties, accelerates the healing process.

Water-resistant,
easy to clean
Hand-clean with lukewarm water and surgical or mild, pH-neutral soap, air-dry, and reuse up to 5 times.
Innovative Support for Wound Healing in Veterinary Practice
The WIMBA Wound Care line provides a breathable, flexible protective spacer that surrounds wounds or calluses, distributing pressure and protecting from accidental trauma. Applied over a primary wound dressing, it creates safer conditions for recovery while improving patient comfort.

The Clinical Challenge
One of the key challenges in veterinary medicine is ensuring consistent wound healing. Mechanical forces, such as constant or repetitive pressure that may lead to pressure sores, can compromise blood flow and oxygen delivery to the wound site. Additional factors including temperature and moisture regulation, infection, and excess exudate can further interfere with the recovery process.
The WIMBA Wound Care Solution
The WIMBA Wound Care protective spacers provide a breathable, flexible barrier. By creating a safe distance between the wound and the surrounding environment, the pads shield the site from direct contact while absorbing and distributing pressure across a wider surface area. Their lightweight, lattice structure ensures superior breathability and comfort for the patient.

Key Benefits of WIMBA Wound Care
The WIMBA Wound Care line is designed to support healing by surrounding wounds, stitches, and pressure-sensitive areas from impact and irritation. By creating a gentle barrier, it helps lower the risk of infection and allows wounds to recover in a more stable, protected environment.
What Makes WIMBA’s 3D-Printed Wound Protective Spacers Different?
Breathable & flexible
Printed with 3D technology ensuring breathable and flexible properties.
Versatile application
Designed for diverse applications, supporting recovery across different wound types.
Lightweight & durable
Durable design for comfort and reliability.
Optimized healing environment
Improves thermoregulation when used with a primary wound dressing.
Pressure relief
Absorbs and redistributes forces across a larger surface area.
How to Use WIMBA Wound Care
How do WIMBA Wound Care protective spacers work? The support is applied over a standard wound cover and secured with a bandage wrap. Its 3D lattice structure spreads external forces across a larger area, reducing direct pressure on the wound. At the same time, the open design allows airflow, helping regulate temperature and supporting a healthier recovery.
Apply a standard wound dressing directly on the open wound.

Place the Protective Dressing on top to provide distance and shielding.

Secure it with a bandage to keep it in position.

Everything You Need to Know About WIMBA Wound Care
WIMBA Wound Care protective spacers can be hand-cleaned with lukewarm water and surgical or mild, pH-neutral soap, then air-dried and reused up to 5 times. This gentle cleaning process keeps the material safe for the pet and maintains its protective properties.
WIMBA protective spacers are designed to safeguard wounds, stitches, calluses, sores, and pressure points. By distributing mechanical forces across a larger area, they reduce localized pressure and friction, creating safer conditions for healing. Applied over a primary dressing, they provide an extra layer of comfort and stability for patients.
No. A primary wound dressing must always be applied first to cover the wound area. WIMBA spacers are placed on top to create a breathable, flexible buffer that helps lower the risk of infection while easing mechanical stress on the tissue.
WIMBA Wound Care is intended for use by, or on the order of, a licensed veterinarian. This ensures proper application, patient safety, and the best possible healing outcome.
